Land of the Lost

Land of the LostIf a story is written about Hunter S. Thompson to a prehistoric, parallel dimension, it’s most accurate representation would be in the form of Land of the Lost for movie adaptation. Brad Silberling is the director of the movie and Will Ferrell can be seen in the leading role in this 1970s Sid and Marty Krofft TV series. Many would say that it is the strangest movie of this summer, some would call it the filthiest movie of this season, but the thing I can say about it is that the movie is damn entertaining.

Rick Marshall is known as a disrespectful scientist who was not expecting to get an other chance of testing his essential theories on time travel after getting sucked in a vortex of space time and he with his companions Holly and Will, landed in a prehistoric parallel dimension.

Dr, Rick Marshall, Holly and Will (Will Ferrell, Anna Friel and Danny McBride) saw the murder of a caveman by two other cavemen. Dr. Rick Marshell seems happy to watch that the steps of evolution are being followed by these cavemen, but his other companions Will and Holly are not as much impressed as he is, and contrarily they seem worry about the victim.

The basic idea behind the Land of Lost is the lack of understanding between Holly, Will and Rick. This lack of understanding appears jaunt on this level, but quite intriguing for the very next moment. These companions are transported to a professed land with tachyon amplifier of Mr. Rick and they can travel in sideways with the help of this device. They had to make a crash landing in a desert where they found a disordered collection of the travelers, junk and other such stuff. They also found some other objects but they all were quite broken and tilted. There is a series of banalities in the film and similarly there are lot of unfunny jokes that can’t make most of us laugh.
