The St. Petersburg Times says that Lindsay Lohan is not the real inventor of her tan spray formula fake-n-bake. According to a report a lawsuit has been filed against Lohan and her business partner Lorit Simoon by Jennifer Sunday who is a chemist at St. Petersburg. The chemist claims that Lohan and her partner created self-tanning spray and he accused that they stolen Sevin Nyne formula to create their own spray line.
According to Marcia Cohen, Jennifer’s attorney, told in an interview that in Lohan’s self-tanning spray the used ingredients were the creation of her client.
Cohen also told that they were looking for the profits which they would generate from the product, and Sunday would definitely entitled to the proceeds if Ms Lohan, her business partner and their companies get some profits from that stolen formula of Sunday.
In the lawsuit, Lohan and Simon have been sued for trade secrets theft, civil conspiracy, breaching contract and deceptive trade practices.
Simon and Sunday’s company had signed a confidentiality agreement earlier this year. It has also been alleged in the suit that they both had talked over the samples of that spray, but couldn’t reach decision on amount issues.
“We have known that Ms Lohan and Simon are partnering and Ms. Lohan is also taking credit of developing this formula, but the fact is that she didn’t play any role in the development of this formula,” Cohen adds.
The self-tanning spray is available at Sephora stores with the price tag of $35, and reportedly it consists of ingredients like caramel, goji berry, a base of sugar-coconut and chardonnay extracts.
On the other hand, Lohan said on her twitter page that they didn’t steal any formula for Sevin Nyne and Cohen is just looking for a payday and nothing else.
