Allgood Entertainment files $40m lawsuit against Michael Jackson

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson has been sued for $40m by a concert promoter who alleged him breaching a contract that the singer was due to play with his other members of the family for reunion.

Allgood Entertainment is a firm that has filed a lawsuit against him in Manhattan federal court claming that they signed a deal with his manager for arranging a concert on the event of Jackson’s family reunion.

Under this deal, Jackson was bound to not to perform anywhere else before this concert and even three months after it. According to the lawsuit, Frank DiLeo, Jackson’s manager and AEG the promoter of the event have breached the agreement as they have signed many concerts in London during the summer in which a pay-per-view event has also included.

The lawsuit also says that AEG was aware of the contract between Jackson, Dileo and AllGood entertainment, but as they have power and dominance in live music performance industry which forced them to breach the contract with the entertainment firm and preferred to work with others.

Allgood manager, Patrick Allocco says, “Almost every oppourtunity to privately and publically resolve that issue has been provided to AEG and Michael Jackson, and till today they didn’t response to it.”

“It was on 22nd May in Beverly Hills when the two camps contacted with us,” Allocco adds.

Jackson and AEG’s representatives couldn’t be reached instantly on Wednesday.

Ira Meyerowitz, Allgood lawyer says in this connection that they don’t want to stop Michael Jackson from performing in the events and we are just looking for the compensation for the contract they agreed on.
